Pakistan should not be made part of any proxy war: MWM

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, has urged the powers that be Pakistan must not be made part of any proxy war in view of the fallouts of participation in Afghan proxy war by military dictator General Ziaul Haq-led regime.

He made this demand talking to the media persons on the second day of MWM’s annual convention in Islamabad (yesterday).

“Due to Zia’s joining Afghan-USSR war, Pakistan was embroiled in the endless fallouts of proxy war and now fourth generation is suffering from that,” he pointed out.

He said that use of force to gag the political opponents has overshadowed the democracy in Pakistan. National security agencies are being misused to harass peaceful Pakistanis instead of crushing the terrorists under National Action Plan.

Allama Jafari said that the political opponents of the unconstitutional policies and actions of the PMN government were being intimidated through counterterrorism department of police.

He demanded that government must not misuse the national security agencies to victimize the political opponents and act upon the National Action Plan to crush terrorists. He said that Panama Papers Leaks case was a blot on the face of the corrupt rulers. He said that in the non-Muslim countries, rulers feel free to apologise and even resign voluntarily on the basis of their faults but Pakistani rulers never did so.
