Majlis-e-Wahdat-s-Muslimeen has announced its support to the Pakistan People’s Party’s electoral candidate Saeed Ghani in the by-election to Sindh Assembly from Karachi’s constituency PS-114 Mehmoodabad that fell vacant due to unseating of Irfanullah Khan Marwat of PMLN.
Ali Hussain Naqvi, secretary political affairs MWM Karachi made this announcement at a joint press conference with Saeed Ghani yesterday. Waqar Mehdi, Rashid Rabbani and Najmi Alam of PPP and Maulana Ali Anwar, Mubashir Hassan, Mir Taqi Zafar, Meesam Abidi and Asif Safavi of the MWM were also present. Earlier, the MWM’s delegation comprising of said member met the PPP’s leaders.
Ali Hussain Naqvi made it clear that MWM didn’t believe in lip-service nor in empty statements but MWM has strong belief in the constructive politics and MWM turns down takfiris and their terrorism due to which MWM’s doors are open for all like-minded parties and individuals. He said MWM would back the PPP candidate in the by-election practically instead of limiting to statements.
Saeed Ghani thanked MWM over their support saying that he and his party would never forget the MWM’s cooperation. He said with the support of MWM, his victory was predicted with certainty.
