A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami led by its chief Sirajul Haq and a delegation led by Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen met in Islamabad to discuss current political situation of Pakistan.
They exchanged views on the Panama Papers leaks case and JIT report also and agreed that there was no option for Nawaz Sharif but to resign as Prime Minister and face accountability.
JI chief Sirajul Haq praised the MWM for its struggle for the sake of democratic values and against corruption. He stressed on the need for common struggle of the two parties on common points where these two parties agree. He said that close working relationship of the two religio-political parties was in the interest of Pakistan. He condemned Parachinar bombings and loss of lives and expressed solidarity with the victims of terrorism.
Allama Raja Nasir and Sirajul Haq expressed identical views against the ruling family saying that Nawaz Sharif and his family were making all out efforts to hide their corruption.
Nasir Abbas Shirazi, Asad Abbas Naqvi, Allama Iqbal Behishti of MWM, Saqib Akbar of Milli Yakjehti Council and Mian Mohammad Aslam and Sahibzada Yaqub, MNA from Jamaat-e-Islami were also present.
