At least 14 people have been killed and dozens wounded – some of them critically – in an explosion targeting a military vehicle in a high-security neighbourhood of Quetta on Saturday night.
The blast went off at the busy Pishin Stop triggering a fire on several vehicles parked nearby. Police and rescuers say at least 15 people have been killed and 26 wounded who are being shifted to hospitals.
A state of emergency has been declared at the city’s hospitals where medics say some of the injured have life-threatening wounds. Bodies of the victims are charred beyond recognition.
