Sunni-Shia unity marks International Hussaini Conference against takfiris

Speaking at the International Hussaini Conference, Sunni and Shia Muslim scholars have unanimously turned down the takfiri ideology saying that takfiris pose serious existential threat to Pakistan and Islam.

Pir Masoom Hussain Shah Naqvi of the Sunni Bralevi party JUP presided over the conference that was held under the aegis of his Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) at the Aiwan-e-Iqbal in Lahore. The theme of the conference was “Takfirism and Challenged being faced by Pakistan.”
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Maulana Mohammad Hussain Azad of Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran, Allama Amin Shaheedi of Ummat-e-Wahida Pakistan, Pir Ijaz Hashmi of the JUP, Sahibzada Abul Khair Zubair of Milli Yakjehti Council, Dr Raghib Naeemi of Jamia Naeemia, Fareed Paracha and Ameer ul Azeem of of Jamaat-e-Islami, Chaudhry Manzoor of Pakistan People’s Party, Sahibzada Hamid Raza of Sunni Ittehad Council, Ahl-e-Hadees scholar Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Sahibzada Mohiuddin Mehmboob Kazmi, Pir Shafaat Rasool, Pir Usman Noori, Sakina Mehdavi, Syeda Faiza Naqvi and several other Sunni and Shia leaders and scholars spoke at the conference.
They said that difference between Sunni and Shia has a historical background but declaring anyone as infidel or heathen itself is an infidelity and the players of this blame game would themselves go to hell. They said that teachings of great Muslims saints and mystics should be propagated in every nook and cranny in Pakistan that would help eliminate sectarianism and extremism. They said that unity of Sunni-Shia Muslims is a must to defeat the takfiris in Pakistan.
