Iranian MPs discuss border security with Pakistani counterparts

Iranian and Pakistani lawmakers discussed bilateral ties and border security when they met on the sidelines of 5th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

During the meeting between Iranian and Pakistani MPs, border security, in particular, the issue of abducted Iranian border guards was raised, Khadijeh Rabiei, one of the lawmakers said, adding that the Pakistani parliamentarians promised to do their best to pursue the case of abducted Iranian border guards.

A number of Iranian lawmakers attended the 5th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of IPU.

Hadi Bahador, Mohammad Damadi, Khadija Rabiei and Sakineh Almasi are the young Iranian lawmakers who attended the two-day event, held in Baku. The 5th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the IPU kicked off in Baku on Friday.
