Hundreds of American Shia Muslims staged a protest outside Nigerian Embassy in WAshington DC, to show the solidarity with Nigerian Shia Muslims and condemned the massacre of Shia Muslims by Nigerian Army in Zaria, Kaduna State, The Shia Post reports.
The protest was organized by Shia International at 2:00 pm after Friday prayer, where protesters including women and children participated holding signs and chanting slogans against ISIS terrorists and Nigerian government, where they also demanded the immediate release of Sheikh Ibrahim al-Zakzakay and investigation of massacre as per international law.
The Shia Muslims censured Daesh and Nigerian government and army for committing terrorist attacks on innocent Muslims.
The protesters also showed the concern over Nigerian government that cannot take action against armed terrorist group of Boko Haram, while it is targeting armedless innocent Shia Muslims.
According to reports over 1000 innocent Nigerian Shia Muslims were killed and the top Shia leader Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, was arrested by the military, after his wife and son were killed in the violence attacked.
The killings have sparked international condemnation, with calls for a transparent investigation.
