Former Senator Allama Syed Abid Hussain al Hussaini has issued warning against the insulting remarks hurled by some quarters against the tribal mishran, notables and elders of Turi tribe of Shia Muslims of Parachinar/Kurrum.
In an interview, he said Shia Turi tribe has zero tolerance policy on the issue and the entire community is one same page on the genuine issues of Parachinar/Kurrum and there would be no compromise on respect and honour of the Turi tribal mishran and notables.
Allama Abid Hussaini urged the state institutions to refrain from uncalled for and unjustifiable biased and discriminatory policy against Parachinar. He said that Parachinar is capital city of Kurrum Agency for around 150 years and this status must not be changed.
He said that merger of FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was not for increasing problems of FATA people but it was for reducing their problems. However, vice versa has occurred and people of FATA are suffering due to what they experience nowadays.
He demanded that Parachinar must remain headquarters of all institutions and people of the area must not be compelled to travel to unsafe areas such as Tull for court cases. He said that judiciary, executive and security headquarters should not be shifted from Parachinar to any other place.
Answering a question, he said, Parachinar and Shia Turi tribe of Parachinar had kept fluttering Pakistan’s national flag unlike other agencies of Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) where takfiri terrorists devastated each and everything from lives to honour and properties. He said that people of Parachinar must not be punished for their patriotism and loyalty to their motherland Pakistan.
