End Shia enforced disappearance rally at Governor House Lahore

The families and supporters of Shia missing persons took out a rally from Lahore Press Club to Governor House.

They were demanding an end to enforced disappearance of Shia notables and scholars. They also carried banners and raised slogans In support of their demand.

Notably, advocate Shakil Naqvi and other leading figures spoke at the rally.

They elaborated issue of enforced disappearance and grievances of the affected families.

Furthermore, the protesters urged the authorities to end enforced disappearance forthwith. They demand either release Shia missing persons or produce them in court of law.

Moreover, they cited enforced disappearance of notables such Yafis Hashmi advocate and scholar Zaheeruddin Babar.

Meanwhile, Shakil Naqvi and Ali Mehdi urged that the authorities concerned must follow law in these cases.

Particularly, they demanded granting the undeclared detainees right to legal defence through lawyers of their choice as per law.

They also demanded the army chief to play role in ensuring that security agencies must abide by law.

During current month, Shia community held many protest demonstrations against enforced disappearance all over Pakistan. The families of missing Shia Muslims staged a sit-in outside house of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Multan.

In Multan, they filed their complaint against enforced disappearance with the camp office of Foreign Minister.

Meanwhile, protesters reminded Pakistan government she cannot win support on Kashmir by turning Pakistan into Kashmir for Pakistanis.

Police book sit in protesters on false charges

Unfortunately, biased and rogue police cops have registered a false case against 250 peaceful protesters.

Pakistani nation knows well why the biased Saudi proxies face no action despite bombing shrines of Islamic saints, including Data Ganj Bux in Lahore.

The FIR No 123/2019 included false charges such as riot, ransacking, hampering pedestrian movement, etc.

The police also hurled more baseless charges that the sit-in protesters were inciting people by raising slogans against state and President of Pakistan.

The entire Shia community has expressed solidarity with the sit-in protesters.

The FIR has mentioned another false charge that the sit-in protesters were chanting slogans against army.

Shia community turns down FIR by biased police
Shiites reject all these charges against Rashid Rizvi, Hassan Raza Sohail, Saghir Abid and families of Shia missing persons.

However, the entire Shia community has expressed solidarity with the sit-in protesters.

Shia community seeks state clarification

State authorities and President Dr Arif Alvi must clarify their position on ongoing malicious media trial of Shia community. Shia community has made this demand.

The community asks whether state sponsors ongoing malicious propaganda campaign against Shiites.

However, end Shia enforced disappearance has become popular slogan of Shia community across Pakistan. Power that be must do justice instead of discriminatory witch-hunt.
