Doctor Raises Alarm Over Missing Oxygen Supplies for Besieged Parachinar

Critical medical supplies destined for Parachinar have reportedly gone missing, exacerbating an already dire situation in the area. According to Children’s Specialist Dr. Zulfiqar Hussain, “Two liquid oxygen cylinders sent by the Jafria Disaster Cell (JDC) towards Parachinar have not been received until today.”

Dr. Hussain’s statement comes against a backdrop of prolonged isolation for Parachinar. He highlighted that for the past eight months, all roads leading to the region have been closed due to the presence of takfiri terrorists belonging to Sipah-e-Sahaba, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, and the Taliban.

The ongoing blockade has led Dr. Hussain to describe Parachinar as the “Gaza of Pakistan,” emphasizing its complete encirclement. He further criticized the state security forces for their “complete failure” in their duty to protect the people of Parachinar.

The disappearance of the vital oxygen cylinders underscores the severe challenges faced by the residents of Parachinar, who are not only cut off from essential supplies but also allegedly unprotected by state forces against militant groups controlling access to their region. The situation raises serious concerns about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Parachinar and the safety and well-being of its inhabitants.
