China slams Israel for crossing ‘another red line’ by attacking Iran
China’s UN ambassador Fu Cong has condemned the Israeli regime’s violation of Iran’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, urging Tel Aviv to put an immediate halt to its illegal aggression against Iran.
Fu Cong, speaking to China Central Television (CCTV), described Tel Aviv’s targeted strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities as “another red line that Israel has crossed.”
Also during a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in West Asia on Friday Fu said “China opposes the intensification of contradictions and the expansion of conflicts, and is deeply concerned about the consequences that may be brought about by Israel’s actions.”
The Chinese diplomat also expressed his country’s sincere concern about the negative impact of the current developments on diplomatic negotiations on Iran’s right to develop a nuclear program.
The Israeli regime launched a barbaric attack on Iran in the wee hours of Friday morning in which many civilian areas were indiscriminately targeted in Tehran and other cities.
