Iran launched a powerful missile strike on a US base in Qatar in retaliation to Washington’s recent attack on three Iranian nuclear sites.

The Supreme National Security of Iran said that in its operation against a US base in Qatar, the country launched the same number of missiles as the number of bombs used in Washington’s Sunday attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.

The SNSC issued a statement after the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Monday evening targeted the United States’ Al-Udeid air base in Qatar with a devastating and powerful missile attack in an operation codenamed “Promise of Victory”.

This base is the headquarters of the US Air Force and the largest strategic asset of the US’ terrorist military in the West Asia region, the IRGC said in a statement.

The message of the decisive measure by the nation’s sons in the Iranian Armed Forces is clear and unequivocal for the White House and its allies, the statement said, adding that “The Islamic Republic of Iran, trusting in God Almighty and relying on the faithful and illustrious people of Islamic Iran, will not leave any attack on its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national security unanswered under any circumstances.”
