Israel orders attack on Iran after claiming Tehran violated ceasefire

Iran denies firing missiles at Israel: Reports

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said he had ordered the military to strike Tehran after he said Iran fired missiles in violation of a ceasefire after 12 days of war.

Israel earlier agreed to US President Donald Trump’s proposal for a ceasefire with Iran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement, after Trump said the truce is now in effect and urged both sides not to violate it.

Iran is rejecting Israeli claims that it fired missiles at Israel after agreeing to a ceasefire, according to the IRIB broadcaster and the ISNA news agency.

The reports came as Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz accused Iran of violating the truce and ordered “intense strikes” on Tehran.

Earlier, Israeli media reported that the military intercepted two ballistic missiles launched from Iran.
