Blocking pilgrimage routes is unacceptable, Allama Sibtain Sabzwari

Shia Ulema Council Pakistan Central Vice President Allama Syed Sibtain Haider Sabzwari has said that blocking the land routes of pilgrims is in no way acceptable, even if we have to sacrifice our lives and property, we will attend the shrine of Syed Shuhada.

The constitution gives religious freedom to every citizen. The government should know that religious freedom cannot be taken away from the Jafariya community, this will be harmful to the government itself.

Securing the land routes is the responsibility of state institutions and the government, no one can close the routes of pilgrimage to the holy places, the ban is an attack on our religious freedom, which will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Today, pilgrimages are banned in the name of security, so tomorrow, if God forbid, security concerns arise in the case of Saudi Arabia, will Hajj, Umrah and holy pilgrimages there be banned?

The announcement to close the land route for pilgrimages has been made under a special conspiracy, which we reject.

The land routes for pilgrimages should be opened immediately and the pilgrims should be provided with protection.

He said that every year, poor people collect money and reach Karbala and Najaf to participate in Arbaeen and visit the grandson of the Prophet, Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), not everyone can afford the travel expenses of the plane, so no one can close the land route for pilgrimages through the Taftan border.

In this regard, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi has clearly announced many times that we will not leave this land route, we have made sacrifices in the past and we will not hesitate in the future.
