Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri Calls for Imran Khan’s Release, Citing His Ability to ‘Stand Up to Modi’

Prominent religious and political figure Chairman of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri has reiterated his strong appeal for the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, emphasizing his unique capacity to challenge Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi both domestically and internationally. Jafri also underscored the critical need for national unity in the face of perceived external threats against Pakistan.

“Release Imran Khan, he is the only one who can stand up to Modi, both within Pakistan and abroad,” Jafri stated emphatically. “He is a blessing from God for Pakistan. This is the time to unite.”

Adding further context to his appeal, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, who is also the head of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) and a member of the Senate of Pakistan, asserted that in the past, Pakistani politicians have often made decisions favoring the United States and its allied nations. He warned of an escalating threat to Pakistan’s stability, stating, “Our enemy is moving step by step towards Pakistan to destabilize.”

Jafri also highlighted what he perceives as a significant disparity in the media landscape concerning Pakistan’s relationship with India. “India has been making a strong narrative against Pakistan, but we don’t have a media war against India,” he pointed out. In light of these perceived internal and external challenges, Jafri stressed the paramount importance of national cohesion. “There is a need to be united against the Enemy,” he urged.

The MWM, led by Jafri, has recently formed political alliances with Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), lending further significance to his strong endorsement.

Jafri’s remarks arrive during a tense political climate in Pakistan, as Imran Khan grapples with various legal battles, prompting widespread calls for his release from his supporters. The statement not only underscores the belief among some that Khan is a formidable political figure capable of representing Pakistan’s interests on the global stage, particularly in its dealings with India, but also raises concerns about past political decisions and current threats to national security.

The historical context of often strained relations between India and Pakistan adds gravity to Jafri’s assertions about the need for a leader who can effectively counter India’s influence. His call for unity against a perceived “enemy” suggests a broader concern about external forces seeking to destabilize the nation.

This updated statement from Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri is expected to intensify the ongoing political discussions surrounding Imran Khan and the intricate dynamics of Pakistan’s domestic and foreign policy.
