The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) reported today that it killed nine alleged terrorists during an operation in the Pishin district of Balochistan.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) stated that a tip-off about terrorists in the Khanai Baba area outside Pishin town led to a joint targeted operation with other law enforcement agencies. After cordoning off the location, security forces were fired upon by the suspects, triggering a two-hour intense gunfight.

A CTD spokesman confirmed that nine alleged terrorists were killed at the scene, and a substantial cache of automatic weapons and hand grenades was seized from their hideout. The individuals killed belonged to the banned organizations Sipah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, he further added.

The CTD conducted the operation in the Khanai Baba area of Pishin, resulting in the deaths of all nine individuals, according to a CTD spokesperson.

The spokesperson stated that a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the deceased.

Furthermore, the CTD revealed that the alleged terrorists were wanted in connection with several cases.

The CTD spokesperson further stated that these groups were involved in “Takfiri riots, attacks on congregations, and target killings” across the country.
