Karachi Hosts Second Annual Friday Prayer Leaders Conference

A significant gathering of Shia scholars and Friday prayer leaders convened in Karachi for the second annual conference organized by the Council of Imams of Mosques and Shia Scholars of Pakistan. The event, held at Jamia Masjid wa Imam Bargah Buturab, focused on the theme “Duties of Friday Prayer Leaders in the Light of Imam Reza’s Teachings.”
Hosted by prominent scholars Allama Syed Muhammad Ali Naqvi and Maulana Syed Haider Zaidi, the conference witnessed a strong turnout, with numerous Friday prayer leaders from across the city participating alongside the full cabinet of the organizing council. The proceedings were presided over by Maulana Muhammad Hussain Raisi, the President of the Council.
The conference commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Maulana Qari Asif Isfahani, setting a spiritual tone for the day’s discussions. The presidential address was delivered by the esteemed senior religious scholar and Quranic commentator, Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Salahuddin, who illuminated the responsibilities of religious leaders.
Further enriching the discourse, addresses were also given by Maulana Sheikh Muhammad Hussain Raisi, Maulana Sheikh Asghar Hussain Shaheedi, Maulana Syed Badrul Hasnain Abidi, the respected senior religious scholar Maulana Sheikh Ghulam Muhammad Saleem, Allama Syed Muhammad Ali Naqvi, and Maulana Syed Talib Mousavi.
