MWM Pakistan held a well-attended press conference to announce details regarding the party’s upcoming intra-party elections. The elections, aimed at selecting a new central chairman, will be held on April 20 during the annual Baqiyatullah Convention.

Addressing the media, the General Secretary extended an open invitation for coverage and monitoring of the elections to ensure transparency. He stated that district representatives from across the country will participate in the voting process. The newly elected chairman will take the oath of office in the afternoon and later address the “Stability of Pakistan Conference.”

The Convention Chairman emphasized that the electoral process is being conducted in line with Islamic democratic values, and a candidate must receive more than 50% of the vote to be declared the winner.

In addition to providing details about the upcoming elections, the Central General Secretary also outlined a series of significant events scheduled in the lead-up to the convention. On April 18, an “Azadari Conference” will be held, followed by a special session in Parachinar on April 19. Later the same day, after Maghrib prayers, the party will host a thought-provoking program titled “Karbala of the Present Era”, along with a “Palestine Solidarity Conference”, underscoring MWM’s continued focus on religious, regional, and humanitarian issues.

During the Q&A session with journalists, the General Secretary voiced deep concern over the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Parachinar, calling it a direct challenge to the writ of the state. He urged authorities to immediately open access routes to the affected area and ensure relief for the residents.

The press conference concluded with a call for unity and active participation in the party’s democratic process.
