PIA relaunches direct flights from Dubai to Skardu

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its direct flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Skardu (KDU), marking a strategic push to promote tourism in Pakistan’s scenic northern regions.

The relaunch ceremony, held at PIA’s Dubai office, was attended by Hussain Muhammad, Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai, along with a foreign tourist group booked on the inaugural flight, highlighting international interest in Gilgit-Baltistan’s adventure and cultural tourism.

PIA’s Regional Manager Sarmad Aizaz termed the seasonal service a “key initiative to enhance UAE-Pakistan travel connectivity and people-to-people ties.” The move aligns with the airline’s turnaround after recording its first net profit in 21 years.
