Five Khwarij killed, 2 arrested in KP operations

President, PM reiterate resolve for elimination of terrorism

Security forces gunned down five Khwarij terrorists in separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ARY News reported quoting ISPR.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an exchange of fire resulted in the deaths of three terrorists, including a key figure, Faridullah in Bajaur.

In North Waziristan’s Dosali area, two more terrorists were killed. Additionally, in Mohmand, a secret hideout was destroyed, and two Khwarij terrorists, including a prominent member, Lal Amir alias Ibrahim, were arrested.

During the operations, security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials. The ISPR confirmed that the slain terrorists were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces for killing five Khwarij and arresting two, in three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

In their separate statements, they praised the bravery and professionalism of the security forces for the successful intelligence-based operations, which resulted in the killing of five terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij, including their ringleader, and also the demolishing of a high-value target.

They said the operations of the security forces will continue until the complete elimination of terrorists from the country.

Both the leaders reiterated the national resolve for the elimination of terrorist elements and the defense of the country.
