Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri has been elected as the new Chairman of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM) in a decisive victory, securing 80% of the total votes during the party’s high-profile internal election.
The election was held during a key session of the MWM Shura-e-Umomi (General Council), which saw party representatives from across the country gather to cast their votes. Senator Jafri’s overwhelming win marks one of the most significant mandates in the party’s history, underscoring his growing influence and widespread support among the party’s ranks.
Party officials and members hailed the result as a sign of unity and renewed strength within MWM, a political and religious movement known for its strong stance on Shia rights, national sovereignty, and sectarian harmony.
